went to change oil today and put the T-40 into the right drain plug--felt a little loose but I gave it a pull anyway and proceeded to strip it out:gaah::gaah:
I beleive it should be a T-42 or T-43 torx on that side.
So went to Rick at Value Accessories and ordered the hex head bolts for real sockets and will replace both when I get them. Another unwanted chore
for this #&%*(#$#$^----but I love my Spyder!!!!! Seriously!!!
On a side note----received my Federal 595 EVO tires the other day--have a Kumho AST in waiting already and just ordered the necessary amount of
Ride On to go in them sooooooo, will be putting on all new shoes for next season. Got 10000 miles out of the rear and decided to replace both fronts
because I was feeling some vibes. Now if I can just get the stripped out drain plug without a bunch of hassle I will call it all good.
Have a great day all and wish me luck on that drain bolt. Looks like chisel and hammer time is waiting for me.

Went to my local auto parts store and purchased a "new" set of 3 torx bits---T-40/T-45/T-50. Noticed that the T-40 had much better defined teeth and looked
bigger. Also purchased the JB Weld---just in case. Got home and hurried to the bike to check out this "new" T-40 torx bit. To my surprise, it slide down into
the star in the head very tight. Gave it a pretty good tug and it held. Was not going to take it any further until I receive my replacement drain bolts.
Looks like I might skate by on this one
