• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After 2 years and 14,000 miles, my 2010 Rt let me down. Went out to start it and it acted like it was flooding out and would finally stall out :gaah:. Leave it for 5 minutes and it would run fine and rode for 3 hours with no problems. Went out today and it did the same thing when starting, only this time the check engine light came on, so I guess it is a trip to the dealer unless someone on here might have a thought on this.

Have you tried to pull up any codes? Check battery connections and battery charge. Also, possibility of bad vacuum hoses. Vac hoses will crack/break. Let us know what you find out.

I bet if it got hooked up to buds, it would provide the TB related codes. Mine showed P1614 after the first time it through a fit, but would show no code after.

Just went out and it started right up and ran smooth. Shut it down for 5 minutes, started it, stalled right out, so I think to the doctor it goes for a check up. Thanks all for a few suggestions.

No codes, only a check engine light

They don't display by themselves.

To Display Active Fault Codes on an RT...

Turn key on or have engine running with normal display
Press MODE, SET, & Turn Signal Cancel simultaneously
Any active codes will be shown on display, blank display or P0000 indicate no active codes.

I would suspect bad gas, vacuum hoses, or throttle body (throttle positioner) failure, but there are numerous other possibilities, including some that won't display any codes.

quit on the road

I would def have the vacumm lines checked. last week I was riding in 5th gear no worries great day and blah motor goes dead !!! Started back up and ran fine..Me being the very overly prepared person I am took it to the dealer JUST IN CASE and sure enough no codes popped up but a visual sowed the vacumm lines needed to be replaced under warranty :)

For future reference: is this the way you display active codes on a RS?

Here's the procedure for the RS/GS bikes:
Read the code.
1. Put in the key and turn it on.
2. Press mode button until you see "hours" displayed.
3. Press and hold both buttons on both handle bars
4. Toggle the momentary bright light button five times rapidly (must be done within two seconds).

If you fumble, release the buttons and try again.

You should get a list of error codes that you can scroll through. Write them down and then post them here.
