• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ISCI Floorbaord Install Mod Suggestion

After installing my ISCI Floorboards I wanted to adjust the angle of the floorboards. I originally installed them level to the ground and found that two notches toe down felt much better. It is a pain to remove the bolts to remove the floorboards to make any adjustments especially with needing to unbend the medal locking the large bolt. So when I was installing my ISCI foot rest brackets, I had to remove the left side mount, I drilled a hole in the side foot rest so I could easily adjust the angle with the alan wrench through the hole. I was able to drill a hole in the right side by dropping the brake rod.

I should have done this during the first install so that you can experiment easily with the different angle adjusts.

I'm guessing that my morning cups of brown amibtion haven't hit yet... but I can't figure out what you're trying to show us.
I have also been trying to figure out some way to make adjusmtents without having to deal with the exact issues that you mention...

Sorry about that should have explained the picture. The picture shows the hole and alan wrench that is used to adjust the angle of the foot boards. I used a 1/8 dril for the starter hole then enlarged with a 3/8 bit.

With the sides installed you can use the alan wrench to loosen and adjust the footrests with not having the undo any bolts.

This picture is of the left side off the bike with the inside facing up. I was able to drill the hole in the right side with the front end jacked up with not problems

You should pass this along to ISCI so they can modify these in the shop. BTW, are these worth the HIGH price??

I do like your mod to the floorboard. Great idea and one you should pass along to ISCI.

I too have adjusted the boards two notches for a forward down angle and find this to be perfect fitting for me. I was looking for a maximum drop from my oem pegs and these boards did the trick. These are quality boards and for me well worth the long term investment,

I will admit that I only purchased these boards after sitting on an RT with these installed. I knew the feel I was looking for, and once I tried them out for myself the purchasing decision was a no brainer. The same applied for the utopia backrest, baker air wings and kuryakn clamshell grips. Having the chance to see and feel the products you are interested in, installed on the RT, is so beneficial.

Keep the mods coming guys. This forum rocks!:2thumbs:

Bob,

On the ISCI website, the installation section shows them using a hand grinder to cut off the end of the stock brake pedal. :yikes:

Cougar, I believe the instructions that you are looking at are for the RS Floorboards. You dont have to modify anything on the RT to install these Floorboards.

It looks like to me that REDSPY has drilled a hole through the Footrest Support Castings to allow angle adjustments after the Floorboards have been bolted to the Spyder.
