• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

IS YOUR SPYDER YOUR ONLY TRANSPORTATION?

My husand has a HHR, but I sold both of my cars in favor of the Spyder.... so I guess the answer is yes, but no because I do have access to a caged vehicle. I could easily go without the HHR but we have three Boxers and it's a little tricky getting them to sit still on the trailer. :roflblack:

:roflblack: You're kidding, right! :roflblack: OK, I am not the norm, with some 30 vehicles around here. Turns out they're mostly summer rides, though. When my truck was in the body shop, I had to rent a car. How embarrassing! :opps: Couldn't ride the Spyder...we got a foot of snow the day after I took the truck in. Hopefully we'll see pavement on our street soon, though. You are one hard-core rider, Jamie!

not so much a hardcore rider as a non-hardcore walker:roflblack:

Right at the time of the update, John?? That's just a shame. For the life of me I do not understand how the DPS can be working one minute, then receive the update and not work after that. What gives? (that's a rhetorical question)

Guess I should be happy mine worked after the update. Life interfered and I did not ryde a lot afterwards. Still not sure what I'm going to do come spring. (that's if it ever gets here)

Jamie - you have to ryde home in this??

spyder IS my only transportation as i recently sold my pick up.
i do grocery shopping with soft saddle bags. i can carry a lot of stuff tied to backseat(latest items were electric guitar and amp). even before i sold the pickup, i did 98% of commuting on spyder(reason why pick up was sold:D).
of course, i will eventually buy another vehicle but it's working ok for now.

The Spyder is not my only form of tranportation, but it is my prefered one.

Right now I am using a Grand Cherokee for day to day. I would drive the Spyder when the roads are salt free, but it is stripped down and jacked up in the garage for mods and maintainence. I also have a Celica GTS rear wheel drive which is not much better in the snow than the Spyder. (but no nanny) The Celica sits alot as well as my old Suzuki Madura. Time to sell some vehicles. The two wheeler is feeling ignored.

Love my Spyder

I have a company vehicle so I'm in that during the day. Its hard to talk on the phone to customers and write down information on my bike. I'm on the bike as soon as I can after work and on the weekends. :ani29:

I ride the Spyder as much as I can and I know I could tow a trailer, if it had a hitch. But, the one next to the Spyder, I would have another steering problem, with the front wheels off the ground. So use the truck for towing that.:D

The Spyder is not my only form of tranportation. I am not a die hard rider, our winters get pretty harsh and nasty here (lots of sleet, snow, ice, sand, and salt to deal with).
Besides below freezing Temps and Wind Chills is not my cup of tea.

I have a 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE.

when I buy one, it will be my weekend cruiser.....my mustang convertible is my everyday ride.....yeah, I know....what a life....florida, beaches, convertible, spyder......:ohyea:

Darn Florida people...I have a convertible too...an older BMW, but in the winter it's probably more useless than the Spyder!

If I was in Florida, I'd certainly be on my Spyder more...and I'd have those nice gloryders that are illegal for some horrible reason in MD!!!!!

Agreed, particularly with a vintage ragtop like my wife's Falcon. My hotrod F-100 truck is also pretty useless, with the wide tires, straight axle, manual steering, and 12" steering wheel. Let's go on strike against snow! :joke:

I ride my Spyder RT-S just about every day and my wife rides her Spyder RS almost every day. We have a car and truck but they sit in the car port most days. Love this Florida Climate!
