• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this the 2024 Cluster Software Developer? Should we contact them?

Shuld we contact Enovations who made the screens?

Lookeee what I found. Under General, on the 2024 Spyder Cluster Preferences menus.

Enovations Controls model OD1025-01 CMIITID 2022DJ5552

Looking on the web, they make clusters and promote software.

Our cluster sure looks like the Open View S70 but in a 10-inch display. link: https://www.enovationcontrols.com/displays/

The control software and translation software they created and use is: https://www.enovationcontrols.com/software/

PowerVision and Open PV appear to make the translation from the cluster to the ECU/Buds 2

Why am I thinking that ACP is not the issue, nor has it ever been. It is gonna be the cluster for the fatal blank issues; the cluster translation software/firmware interface to BUDS 2 for screen lockups and failure to translate/erase codes and code the new screens to the ECU.

OK, your thoughts; and please take the poll above!!!!

I suspect that if you try to contact them they'll either ignore you or tell you to contact CAN-AM.

CAN-AM is their client, not the owners of the CAN-AM products they wrote the code for.

This brings up a very interesting question/statement:

It has been shown that "Enovations" did the software on the 2024 spyder, as I have seen it too.
I have seen their web page too, and it looks like it is their business to program screens, they do it every day to make money.

The question is - will contacting the company help with getting information as to why we are having problems with our gauge cluster? That is an interesting question; we have not received a good answer from BRP; I guess it could not hurt to try.

As for other questions that have come up; it looks like BRP did not do the programming on the gauge, someone else who does this for a living did, so why is it taking so long to get this fixed?

They got most of the gauge correct, maybe that is what they had to do in their contract with BRP?

Is there an argument between Enovations and BRP, and Enovations said do it yourself? Well, that could explain the delay for getting an update and keep reading another 2 weeks.

The questions just keep coming up, and no good answers.

As a retired computer software consultant, I'll offer my opinions on BRP vs Enovations.

If BRP hired Enovations, they would have a contract with them to do a specific task, with defined deliverables to BRP.
Once Enovations delivered what the contract specified, and BRP accepted the work, then Enovations has satisfied their end of the contract.

Enovations has no contract with any of the BRP customers, and owes BRP's customers nothing, not even a response to an email or phone call.
The best you can expect from Enovations is for them to tell you to contact BRP, since we are customers of BRP, not of Enovations.

And while Enovations may have been involved with some of the software behind how the gauges work, does anyone have proof that Enovations did any work on the Carplay software for BRP?

/\/\ yeah, ditto; my thoughts exactly. I am not one to sit by idly while products I have paid for and groups I belong to have issues with very expensive items that are promised to work a certain way.

So far only 4 people have answered yes, and 4 people have answered no to the survey question (8 total) as to whether we should contact Enovations. Now if we can get 50 yes's, esp. from those folks who have had screen issues or those who feel they got screwed 'cos they dont have ACP, that might get the attention of BRP, Enovations, and NHTSA. Remember it isn't just the RT On Road, it is also the four wheelers and any other BRP product with this screen issue + ACP no show.

Spread the word, people, to all the other BRP owners who also have the issues.....

@racoon; nope re ACP... but you are missing the point of the screens freezing, going blank, WIFI not working, BT not working, replacement screens unable to be coded to the bike. That is why Enovations and BRP should be making this a priority to fix ALL the hardware/firmware, translation software issues, and then ACP after the fact.

Apparently, that isn't happening, otherwise BRP would not be offering a $500 teaser to mollify the hundreds of 2024 RT/F3 buyers that were lied to re ACP and outside of that, many have screen issues.

Just remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease... If we let BRP/Enovations sweep it under the rug, then we are never gonna get a proper timely fix. So who will want to buy a 2024 RT or S2S with known issues? That hits all of our pockets! This needs to get public and real fast. It has been 10 months now and I am tired of waiting to get my screen properly coded to my bike and ACP/AA coded in.

Enuff said....

Since the $500 was specifically about Carplay, that offer obviously doesn't apply to the other reported problems.

If BRP eventually sends out letters about the other problems then we can talk about it when those letters start showing up.

And even if Enovations wrote the code behind all of the other reported problems the displays have been having, they are still not directly answerable to any BRP customers.

I voted no; as other people have stated, they write the gauge software but are probably just responsible for providing an app for Apple Carplay.

If you want to inquire with somebody with deeper pockets that could make BRP jump, I would say contact Apple and ask why said interface is not working with their iPhones as promised?

Instead of speculating on what Enovations will or won't do, contact them and find out. It costs nothing. If there are major problems with the console itself not working, how is their contract fulfilled?

As I think I've stated before, contacting Enovations will probably result in one of two responses.

1) they'll ignore you, and might forward your message to BRP if they're nice
2) they'll respond and tell you to contact BRP

Who did you buy the bike the console is attached too from?
A BRP dealer.

If there's a problem with the console then BRP is the one you need to contact.

Edit: Another thought: do you really want to distract Enovations while wanting them to fix a problem that they are not answerable to you for?
