• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this normal?

I probably should have RTFM but this is easier and I log another post in the group. ;)

I notice that when I use either turn indicator, it looks like I turned on the emergency flashers, as both arrows indicate on the gauge cluster.

Not a big deal but still wondering.

that's normal

it's just an indicator light that one or more blinkers are on. it doesn't try to be smart enough to tell you which one(s).

I took an F3 for a test ride.... & spent 1/2 the ride time trying to work out how I was turning the hazards on every time I used an indicator before I worked out that both flashed regardless!! :opps:

Dunno if it was an intentional design feature, or just one of those 'undocumented features' that no-one notices during testing so it made it thru the release to the buying market....

You'd think that it wouldn't be hard to get just the one dash repeater light to show for whichever way you are indicating, wouldn't you?!? Then again, maybe BRP actually listened to everyone complaining that they couldn't see the little repeater lights on the dash when indicating, so they made both flash regardless of which way one you have on, just so they'll be noticeable?! Well, if so, they've succeeded - they sure are noticeable now!!

Thanks vondalyn, I figured as much. I'm all alone out here so I have nothing to compare against.

Good thing I'm still able to remember which way I pushed the turn signal switch. ;)

And in case you're wondering... I never drove an F3 until I uncrated it here on Kauai. The RT I traded in ran so well, there was no need for a road test.

There is a cure...

all roadsters are like that and many cars as well. You can add some dash lights connected to the L&R signals to indicate which one is flashing..RT get fancy with the arrows in the mirror housing but you can go simple like I did....

The little button lights on either side let me know and are easier to see in the sunlight...

:hun: Don't all the RT's have individual directional arrow repeaters for each direction; 1 each above the Speedo & Tach??? Mine certainly does.... & I've seen quite a few people complaining that theirs aren't bright enough so are hard to see, with all sorts of a/mkt fixes like those LED's in/behind the mirrors. ;)

That's cool! Muth makes the internal mirror indicators for the F3 now but the mirrors have to be sent in. I'm not willing to part with my baby for any length of time quite yet. nojoke
