Is there some kind of fastening inside the front pulley cover on F3L?

This morning I removed the front pulley cover. It has three screws on the outside and inside it has two rubber bumpers that go against the round tube of the chassis. Between bumper and bumper there is a hole, in both the cover and the tube, that seems to be there to hold the cover to the chasis but there is nothing, so it has a movement inwards.
Does anyone know if there is some kind of fastening there? At the moment I have put a flange in and it is much more subject an can't find on BRP parts.

There is supposed to be a plastic pin in that hole, similar to all the other plastic pins holding the F3L together but slightly smaller pin diameter and a wider head. I found out when I took my cover off a while ago to check the front pulley - the pin flew out somewhere and I couldn't find it... so I reinstalled the cover with just those three screws. It's firm enough without the pin so I'm not worried.

Yup .. a push pin on the backside. My experience was similar to Smokes I did find mine though..

Then that piece will be lost somewhere in the Iberian Peninsula.
I placed the flange not because the screws did not fulfill their mission more than enough, but to avoid possible movements of the piece during the march and unwanted noises.
I have to see if after holding it any annoying noise has disappeared.

Aha! You guys just identified the extra plastic push pin I found on the ground after doing the pulley service on my bike a while ago. Mystery solved!

I run a nylon tie through the hole and around the bar, cut off excess and roll the knot? up over the bar so its not obvious.

If you have a NAPA PARTS STORE, they have a full assortment of push pins and fasteners to choose from, I bet you can find one to fit that hole if you try!! Not to mention it will be cheaper also!

No worries. That pushpin is missing on most. I’ve checked for red dust on hundreds of Spyders; found maybe 1 or 2. It’s really an assembly aid - holds the cover while the screws are installed.
