• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there any Recommended rear shock replacement? F3

Hello all! This is my first Spyder (long time motorcycle rider) and I am wondering what is recommended to replace the OEM rear shock. I will have an occasional passenger, but also prefer a shock that is rebuildable and can adjust pre-load settings. Suggestions?

Kevin

Elka would be my choice, I am using a set on the front of mine, soon to have a rear! Give Lamonster a call, or look at them on his site! I love them!

1.) Wilbers 640 HPA German quality. Pricier but you get what you pay for.
2.) M2 Built in Missouri
3.) Race Tech Built in california
4.) Elka Built in Canada

You could check out IKON Suspension too, generally somewhat cheaper than those other names, but many believe at least as good if not better! They've got a great rep here in Australia, and are growing in popularity as more become aware of them. I'm pretty sure there's a US Branch for these Aussie icons!

Thank you for the responses thus far! Elka and Wilburs are the only ones where the websites even confirm they have shocks for the Spyder F3, but even Elka stops their model year listings at 2020. I have a 2022, but have no idea if the shock size has changed from 20 to 22. I would like to explore Fox shocks, but cannot find anything on their website either, that specifically states Spyder F3.

I just put the wilbers on mine front and back and absolutely love them and so does my wife now that she can ride with me comfortably and not worry about bottoming out.

Well worth the money that I paid for them.
