There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Is there an engine tuning difference between the F3 & F3's ??

I thought the 1330 engine in both F3 & F3's had similar power & torque .... If there is a difference--what year F3's did this occur. I have a 2015 F3's. Just returned from a ride on my turbo hayabusa 125 in 2nd gear, 155 in 3rd---rear wheel spinning --I may be getting too old for the 2 wheel rocket.:lecturef_smilie:

They recently detuned the base F3 a bit, and gave it the RT's taller gearing...

That happened with the release of the 2017 F3's didn't it?? But only the base model F3 is detuned a touch & runs the North American RT gearing.... I believe we only got the mild de-tune here in Oz.... but I could be wrong on that & would appreciate authoritative advice to the contrary. :dontknow:

The engine tuning is the same. The limiters between models are different.

Looks like F3 S and T have the 89T gearing. F3 std and ltd same as RT etc. The lower gearing on the sportier models helps increase the power felt. (acceleration or torque delivered to the ground)

For 17, looks like the base model does not have the new sport mode. (nanny reduced, but called "off")

2015 F3S SE and 2017 F3L SE Power

So here is my 2 cents worth. On my 2015 F3S I have been side ways more times than I
can count with the wheels turned and not once did the Nanny kick in. It would spin the tire in
3rd gear. I did run 26 lbs. of air in the tire and that probably did not help with the grip. I have
had the tire break loose at 65 mph in the wet stuff when passing. That definitely gets your attention.
My wife did not like the 2015 at all and would rarely ride with me. Going to the 2017 F3L is a whole
different game. Ride is much more stable and comfortable and the shocks really make a difference.
Diving into a corner at speed is a lot more comfortable/fun and easier to control.
The gear ratio is definitely different with the rpms being about 700 rpm lower at 70 mph. It will still
spend the tire but not as easily and the only time I have felt the nanny was under very hard braking.
You will adapt to all the small quirks of your scoot and have a blast with all the power that is available.

Ride Safe and enjoy!

Something is wrong here. All year F3S and F3L have the exact same engine, transmission and rear sprocket ratio. There is no difference in RPM at any given speed between the two. Only the 2017 F3 base model gets the smaller rear sprocket from the RT (and the lower speed limiter that goes with it).
