• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a way to wire in to the amplifier for the speakers

I love listening to my XM radio and would like to have my phone "pipe" the sound through the speakers. Can the amplifier be accessed without a great deal of trouble? I currently have an XM unit in the trunk, which functions as one as I do not want to change channels. Id like to access the amplifier without having to run a wire all the way back to the trunk.

I use the Sirius/XM app on my iPhone and plug it in to the iPod port in the back. Sound goes through the (crappy) sound system on the :spyder2:.

Works fine when 3G signal is available around town but you have NO options for changing channels, etc.

I have a XM Roady that I've had for years. I made a container to put in the trunk to hold it. I installed an antenna on the trunk lid. The power is plugged into the socket in the trunk. The power cord has a transmitter built in. I have it set on 88.1 FM. I set the Roady to the channel I want to listen to and the Spyder's radio to 88.1 and listen through it.
See my set up in the Mods section on this site. "Cavman's Gettin' Started".
It seems to work pretty good so far. I can't change the channel unless I stop and got off the bike.

cavman i do that way also but the problem is the volume is very low not as loud as regular radio.then i plugged it into the the harness that came with the bike got a little louder but not much.i'm guessing there has to be a way to boost the power so its louder output? anyone got a good fix on this?
