• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a pattern to this stupid instruction card?

If this thread wasn't getting "out of hand" before, you may have just crossed the line with that last post. :yikes:. :roflblack:

i took the card out once on my RT and it has zero useful info. At least the old RS one had the recommended tire pressures on it. I dont hold the mode button either just one firm press is all it takes, however its stupid you have to push it in the first place. I think the manual says you have 3 minutes when you shut it off to turn back on without the start up and mode button press. Let us know what one of these responses has solved your problem ;)

It looks like the responses that simply said to wait longer, and my learning about the kill switch are what I needed. I went shopping today and gassed up, and this is what I found: When starting out cold (I hadn't ridden since Sunday), I waited the longest I ever have for the boot-up because I didn't use The Card, then I just quickly poked Mode, like I always have (and as you do). First time I've ever started stone cold without it! YeeHaw! Next, I stopped for gas and used the Kill switch for the first time. Wonderful invention! Started up like any other normal machine. And, finally, after grabbing some groceries for about a half hour, she booted up faster than at home, but not super fast, so I just checked my impatience at the door and waited for the final screen to display. No Card! So, for now, at least, it looks like you kind folks have solved my problem. Thank you, all!

I have to add a fun thingie - as I pulled into the pumps today, an older gentleman, probably in his 80s, walked up to me and said, "Oooh, I've never seen one of these in person!" Turns out, he's got a HD trike and has done a lot of traveling with it. I was tickled that a Harley guy was so free with his compliments and interested in my "Spyke".

So I had a No Card Day and met a sweet man. Life is good.

Speaking of movies, when we went to horse camp. One of our members had a dvd projector and he would project the movies on the side of a white camper. Good times. We would have other people from campground watch them too. Movie night.

LOL! Blue jeans (tight) and a waist-length parka that'd make an anorexic look morbidly obese. They do say I'm well preserved for a 64 and 11/12s year old, but it did take an 80+ year old Harley guy to notice me. :(
