• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a Key Blank available for 2014+ Spyders?

I have a 2014 RT (new to me) and have only 1 key. I am planning to disable DESS because of the many that have experienced problems and secure the bike with locked handlebars on trips, rather than being stranded with the DESS error. Is there a blank key available that is unchipped, to work with the other locks and also the ignition? I have not been able to find info on 2014+ key blanks. I have also read that earlier Spyder key blanks are not long enough to operate things correctly. Thanks for the help. Almost riding season in Wisconsin! Yay!!

ILCO X270 blank at most hardware shops that cut keys. Some have beveled the edge so key will push in deeper to turn. Personally did not have to.

The blank that fits your Spyder is a Triumph key. And yes, you have to grind off the shoulders of the key to make it so it will go all the way in. I'm not familiar with the handlebar locking because I've only used it once. However, turning the handlebars lock to lock on a blacktop parking without moving the Spyder at the same time is a total PITA for sure.

It is a Triumph motorcycle key. I have one for each of my Spyders, one is on my keyring that is always in my pocket depending on season/location. If I lose my "running" key, the third key gives me access to the 2nd back up key.

I had one made up at Ace Hardware. I needed it when I sold my 2014 RTL so that I could still unlock my RT-622 trailer.
