There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Is there a clamp-on Driver Backrest for 2012 RT SE5?

Hey everyone - New to riding and new to this forum - I need some help ! The seat on my RT does not have the place to install a driver backrest. The seat is solid. I don't want to start cutting holes to install one. Does anyone know of a good aftermarket driver backrest that clamps on?

I appreciate any feedback !

Thanks

A long time ago I had a 1200 Gold Wing that had a driver backrest that attached to the siderails alongside the seat. I have not seen anything like that for any Spyder seats. Why are you concerned about having a hole in the seat, that's how BRP mounts theirs. 99 of 100 (or more) owners sell their Spyders with the backrest, if they had one put on... Mike :ohyea:

I have a 2012 RTS and I bought an aftermarket back rest just a cheaper than most and it had really good instructions on putting it on. It came out looking great. And it works. I can lean on it and every thing. The wife likes the pocket on back for her phone.

I also have a 2012 RTL and installed a Utopia backrest. Its a little scary at first cutting a hole in the seat but if you go by the instructions it works out great. I do not think there is any seat available any other way.
