• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello all:

It seems that many add auxiliary lighting to their Spyder. Is that for night riding or increased day visibility. Is BRP's auxiliary lights a good option for night riding?

Thanks

BRP's lights are an Expensive option ..... there are better products at much much less cost .....LED's work best - DON"T get the ones that have FANS to cool them or any radio reception you have will dis-appear :banghead:...... Mike

Gonna say.....

most of the lighting I see done is for the visablity of the vehicle and driver. The driving lighting is good and unless you ryde a lot of backroads with no street lighting you don't need extra lighting. Fog lights help in low fog is present. I do have both driving and fog and use them for shoulder lighting. They are aimed a bit the right and left so I can see the street edges of the backroads that in most cases are not marked and have no barriers. There are tons of options for all types of lighting out there. Beware that some of the options may affect the functions of the spyder...

Lamonster LED headlamps are a good start for visibility (them seeing you). They are bright and get attention. Some added LED fogs are good to, details here: >CLICK ME<
