• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it worth waiting for the 2011 RT or RTS

If you are finding a killer deal on a left over 2010 get it! If not wait. They are sold out here so I would have to wait if not for MM. :ani29:

this close I would wait. you will have all the fixes done (recalls) and a slightly better shock in front and smaller windshield.

We were going to wait until the 2012 but i got a deal so good I can't even tell about it, so I got the 2010. In the end, it's up to you. Hopefully the more they build, the better they become. But the cost will go up as everything always does.

unbelievable

A dealer in Ohio quoted me well under $18,000 for a 2010 RT!!!

But I'm waiting for the '11

jack
At the moment here in Australia our doller is the same value as yours and I just paid $38.000 and that was cheep, normal price is $42.000!!!

Ouch! Is the price difference mostly due to import taxes? :( It can't just be due to shipping costs.

There's nothing on the 2011 RT's that you can't upgrade on a 2010. If I was looking at getting a RT right now I would go for the 2010 unless you just had to have a color that is only offered in 2011.

umm yeah but is it worth the effort and then there were minor fixes and improvements to things that BRP did this year.

1. a different hood latch location
2. mid side panels with tabs on front
3. plus other I am sure they did but no one mentioned...

then the changes for 2011:
1. slight update to shocks
2. updated windscreen and side screen below mirrors

sure you could do the 2011 fixes but at what price and how much time (unless your retired)...

then there are all the recalls and svc bulletins that I would hope are all incorporated into the 2011.
1. the antenna mounting fix
2. the rear shock issues on some configurations
3. and others...

yes you could get them done by the dealer but again why if you just get the 2011.

so short of a good deal on a 2010 when in a month and a half the 2011 will be starting to roll out. and if you are not located down south the riding season is getting shorter ...

just a different view point is all :doorag:

If I could save 4 to 6K on a 2010 (and that's what I've been seeing) I think all those things could be taken care of by a dealer while you sat at home and you would still have a chunk of change in your pocket. Just saying :doorag:

Well I just might go for a deal like that, BUT not likely to find that kind of deal around the Houston area. Also they won't finance a demo.

where and how much

everyone is talking about huge savings on 2010 Rt's I am just not seeing that here in Texas. What kind of pricing are you seeing where your at on 2010?

is it worth it..................

i have my order in for a rt se5 limited, and my dealer in va is selling it to me for the price of the 2010
:2thumbs:
