• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After traveling about 6,000 miles in 15 days, East Tennessee to Durango, (riding a few hundred miles while there), then off to San Diego for a few days, back on the road home, Albuquerque, NM to East Tennessee in essentially one run of 1,460 miles. Trying to get a bit of shut-eye on my Spyder at a rest stop while ants and spiders attack my buddy, Hot, hot, hot (other than the night ride), tired and saddle sore at the end of the trip....

And now I want to do it again! :yikes:

I think there may be something wrong with me.... And my wife is sure of it! :dontknow:
 
Ya - that is incredible how it gets in your blood! We had a nice day-ride with the local group - was 12 hours and all we wanted to do when we got back home was to get on and go for a ride again.
 
I with y'all...we're getting ready for a trip to Cowtown, Eureka Springs, AR, Spyders in the Redwoods, wedding in Washington, western Canada, Bosie, ID, Virginia, and Lamont's BBQ back to Cowtown and home..:yes::yes::yes:
 
I have to admit, after Durango and getting back and doing a good ten hours or so around Los Angeles a day later, I was ready for a break. But a couple of days after that, I volunteered to drive a moving truck from West Virginia to Pasadena, and the whole trip I was missing the Spyder.
 
I didn't do much riding after Durango, between the heat and the chores from being away nearly three weeks. Today we rode down to the VMBC scooter meet in Portland, IN. All the while I kept thinking that I finally felt right again. It's not just you.....but maybe we both aren't quite right in the head! :roflblack:

It is not just you. We didn't put on as many miles as you, but we put on plenty. And YES I am ready for another long ride!!!
 
I love long rides. Don't know what it is. I don't even really care what the destination is (though I'm getting pretty burnt out on Albuquerque.

Someday I won't be able to do it anymore. I can't do it like I used to.

But I want to do it as long as I can!
 
Just returned from 4200 mile roundtrip to midwest and back, looking forward to group ride this Sunday, so no, it's not just you, it seems to be most Spyderlovers.

There is something about when I get a few hundred miles from home you feel so free and lite you start feeling that all that stuff you left behind doesn't matter and is weighing you down all the sudden everything you really need is the few things you have on your bike just mail home your dirty underwear buy some new one s tell everyone to pay the gas card bill and ride forever , I never want to stop someone has to get tired and stop or the road has to run out or something breaks before I want to stop
