• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it just me or does everyone hate it when....

I picked up my :spyder2: from dealer on Saturday, everything was covered under warranty as it should have been. I hate is having to go over the bike in order to make sure there are no screws, clips or push pins missing and most importantly nothing broken. So far I have yet to get the bike back without a screw, clip or push pin missing. I know things happen, I know the techs are busy but if you put all the parts you take off our bikes in one place you should not forget anything. If there is something left then you missed something so don't leave for me to find because I won't be happy about it. I know I can't be the only one.

You are not alone on this...I also mark oil filters with a pencil and demand the used parts be returned. I learned this a long time ago when I had an MG Midget. No pencil mark on the returned part, they get a choice--repeat the entire service call with me watching, or deal with the police. Only once did I have to call the police. The service guy handed me back my keys, an I did't pay that time.

So far I am lucky it has been the other way. Every time I go they find another missing bolt or clip that should have been there to begin with. Dunno which is worse :dontknow:

Yup, there's something about those plastic push bolts that mechs loose. At the old place I used to get Spydee serviced at, there were always one or two that didn't get put back in.

Was entertaining to find where they hid the missing plastic bolts holes. Finally bought new bolts and switched dealerships.

A box...!!

our shops had bins where you put all parts for the units you were working on. This way if you were not available someone else would be able to complete the job. We never had left overs but also had a parts bin of fasteners when one went missing. But have been through many shops where I don't know how they get things back together at all....:dontknow:

you know what I really hate is to have someone besides Mark work on my Spyder....I want him to take it all apart and make sure they did it right...he is such a perfectionist and does everything perfect....I have a hard time trusting anyone else...but with all the problems with the ST we have resorted to dealers...Pitbull and Louis Powersports did a fine job
