• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it just me? Feel beat after a long ride

:2thumbs: I went for a short drive today 200kms(120 miles) in 34 degree heat about 3/4 on country paved roads the rest on expressway. I also picked up my free ball cap from BRP. When I got home I was beat and had to have a nap.(68yrs young), but I don't regret any part of the ride:2thumbs:

Hi from Wilmington

I have about 700 miles on my RS and have yet to take the Spyder on a trip longer than about 40 miles. I am working my way up to taking a trip from Wilmington, NC to Williamsburg, VA, it's about 291 Miles.

I'm planning on three Gas stops to make it. I have everything stock on the Spyder plus the ISCI handbrake and the Rackiton.com wheelchair rack. I need to pick up some rain gear and then I think I'll be ready to go.

Kinda wondering how beat up I'm gonna get on the trip. There are quite a few twisties on the last leg of the trip, from I-95/I-295 area near Hopewell, VA to Williamsburg, VA. I can imagine that the final portion of the trip is gonna be a workout.

I rode home from my dealership a few weeks ago in about 40-50 mph winds...mostly crosswinds...I went over the Bay Bridge in Delaware and almost got blown off (no joke)...bridges in Baltimore (Key Bridge) were closed that night to certain vehicles...this was the worst wind I've ever riden (or driven) in...it was absolutely horrific...far worse than riding in thunderstorms!!!!!

I can say that I've never been so wiped out...had to virtually cling to the bike to not get tossed around...my shoulders have not recovered yet from this...argh!

I went across the Mighty Mackinaw bridge on a GL1500 a few years back and almost got blown off that one. Even the cars were getting buffeted by the cross winds that day. Those steel grates don't help any either. Some bridges will scare the bejeebers out of you no matter what you're on or in. Ken krb1945
