• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

gonna install the lamonster belt tensioner, can you check the assembly out from time to time , without taking all the tupperware off. to make sure all is good . tks

Reach under and lift the arm. Feel the outer roller surface and spin it to feel the bearings. I think it is normal for the roller to feel a little ruff across its face after running for a while. And naturally the bearing should spin freely.

thanks, just wanted to be able to check it after install, without taking all the tupperware off,, will order one..

These are not tensioners, they are vibration dampeners. If they were tensioners, they would significantly affect belt tension (which your dampener will not). If it were a tensioner, you would have to readjust your belt tension after installing one. But your belt tension is already set by the axle adjusters. There is no need for a 2nd tension device on your Spyder. However, there is a need for a vibration dampener. And that is what these are.

Why do they call them 'Tensioners'? Because that is what most people erroneously call them. If you want to sell something. You have to call it what people are looking for. Especially on the Internet. Even if it isn't what you are selling.

A Rose by any other name....
