• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it an RS or a GS

I have a 2009 and I'm confused - is it officially an RS or a GS? I thought the GS designation was only used in 2008, but maybe I'm wrong. My registration shows it as an RS based on VIN, but I often see posts here calling 2009s a GS.

GS

I think the 08-09 was GS. 2010 they were re- named RS, when the RT was introduced.

08 was GS. 09 was RS. Only GS for the first year. Marketing/name change. My 09 was an RS. Colloquially the GS is often referred to as RS.....

My 2008 was officially a GS. The early 2009 I purchased was officially a RS.

The change from the G to R had something to do with the Roadster designation.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but depending on manufacturer date as in mine, it's a 09 but manufacturered in 08 and is listed as a 09 GS.

Just to add madness to the mix, my Spyder's Title says the '09 GS was built in '09.

Things were confusing back then. Don't really know how many Premier Editions were built either..:dontknow:
