• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone connected the ipod shuffle to the AUX connector in the back of the 2012 RT?

Or do I need to take this back and get a nano and a lightning to 30 pin adapter?

If you have the right cable, just plug it in the earphone jack and it should work (display will say AUX). All you can control is the volume but it is nice to have the tunes, for sure.

Like CaptBlack says, you can use it and listen to it, but the only thing you can control is the volume. Mine is several years old, so I was wanting an Ipod Nano anyway, and picked one up the other day. I haven't had time to load music on it and get it into my Spyder. I want the ability to select or skip tunes when I'm riding. :D

Yeppers! I use mine anytime I'm out of range of the radio stations that I like. No different than playing the radio (maybe a little clearer), Can't control which song will play next, but I LIKE all the ones I have on my Shuffle. Have it Velcroed to the side of the Rear Trunk jist above the Plug in. Bandit :doorag:

That's kinda what I was gathering and I'm going to return the shuffle and get a nano and the lightning to 30 pin cable.

Thanks for all the replies.

FYI if you have a new generation iProduct with the lightning adapter (30 pin to lightning), it will work... at least with the iPhone 5. I connected it yesterday and it will even go to Pandora and the SiriusXM apps (provided that you have a good data plan ;)).
