• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ipod Nano

Today I had some music folders added to my Ipod. I have never had an Ipod before so it's all new to me. I will say I don't really know too much about ipods. Any way I plug it into my Spyder and it works. However it appears I can only change from one folder to another folder.

My questions are:

1/ Can I change from track to track within the same folder?

2/ can I have the ipod randomly play all of the folders mixed up?

1 - I switch individual songs from the multifunction control with an iPod Nano. Just hit the right arrow briefly to get the next song. Holding it will change playlists, unless you are in shuffle mode. The left arrow restarts the song that is playing, if in shuffle mode. I don't know what it does in regular mode.

2 - if you do not select a playlist. Just set the iPod to do a random shuffle (and be sure shake to shuffle is off). Go to albums or artists, then play. A portion of the entire library should shuffle randomly. If you have a lot of songs on the iPod, it won't shuffle them all...just keep shuffling the ones it previously selected. A reshuffle will get a new mix.

All this applied to the Nano Gen 5. Not sure if the Nano 7 works the same.

you can right click when you have it in itunes then create a new playlist and put the songs in there you want to hear, its under playlists that you can name it, when you go into music on the front then click on playlists and then scroll down to what song you want to start and click it, I also put it on shuffle setting so that its changes up the songs on your playlist.

IF you need a visual showing of it search youtube, once you do it, is easy to remember.

I have an ipod touch and I've not been able to get it to play random. I still need to create some playlists which may negate the need to shuffle. I never new I had so many songs that began with Big and Bluegrass.
