• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ipod for an RT LTD

I was disappointed with the audio included with my 2017 RT-S. You'd think BRP could have included bluetooth capability but nooooo ... I'm also disappointed that my wife and I can't just plug our headsets into the Spyder for unlimited intercom capability like my friend and his wife have on their Harley. We can work around both issues with a Sena and an iPhone but it's still disappointing that we have to use outside equipment to do so, especially for the price BRP charges.

At first, when I found out my RT-S could at least play songs from an iPod, I wanted to get one. But then I remembered that without bluetooth, the music would only play through the speakers, and I don't see how anyone can hear music from the speakers while riding, at least not enjoyably so and certainly not at 70 mph with a helmet on. So, I looked into getting the accessory bluetooth dongle so I could then send the music into my bluetooth headset in my helmet. Well, that would work, but now we are talking quite a bit of money for an old iPod and a dongle, not to mention time and trouble to set it up. And for what? I can play music on my Bluetooth headset through my iPhone, so why bother with any of this? And with the right mount, the iPhone can also show a map and give directions. And since most bluetooth headsets have FM in them as well, it seems to me that that solves the whole problem.

I didn't do anything special, I loaded a 16gig usb stick with songs and plugged it in the back in the trunk

Is that a 7 pin cable to usb using the 7 pin female on the right

And the music plays through the stereo,

I do believe i had to toggle to the USB on the dash, but that was a couple years ago. I don't use the radio on the bike, so i haven't changed it since I set it up.

edit: I do have all the sings in only one folder, I do not know if that matters or not. The songs play alphabetical by song title

This is the cable that came with the bike. So I didn't add anything.

I simply added a holder to keep it off held to the back.

The top wires through the back are for the SM10 where I re-routed them from when they were installed in the frunk by the dealer. The lower ones are the stock ones that came with the bike.
