• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Purchased a used 2012 Touring. The connector for the iPod was not included. Does anyone know what kind of connecting wire it is called and can you purchase from Radio Shack, etc.?

Your in a bit of a sticky spot. Sometime in the middle of 2012 BRP changed the radio and thus the iPod cable changed. The old cable had a black box in it for voltage conversion and charging. The new radio they moved that into the radio itself. With the new radio you could make your own cable if you desire. Old cable you can't.
Now if you used the old cable with the new radio, no harm but the iPod won't work. However if you use the new cable on the old radio you risk frying your iPod.

In the end call BRP with your VIN as they should know which version radio you have and thus which cable you need.

You will need to get it from the dealer. But make sure that the one you get is fir your year. If not it will not charge the Ipod.
