There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. anyone using a iPhone 5s for their tunes? can only get it into the aux mode and that is only allowing me volume controls. can't change playlists or anything.
bike is 2012 RT-S. tks,

With a 5s I believe you have the Lightning cable instead of the 30 pin connector. Not exactly sure how you hooked it up to your Spyder but if you used just the auxiliary plug into the headphone jack that's all the control you'll get.

yep. that's it. tks,

You can get a lightning to 30 pin atapter for chump change. FWIW, I carry my 5S in an Otter Box case that the straight adapter won't accommodate so mine has a short, 6" cable. Picked up at Best Buy.

I was having the same problem even with the lightening cable. It started when Apple came out with IOS 9.0. I've found that if you reboot your phone (turn it off and then back on) the "Ipod" mode will come up.

Could you attach a pic of that adapter. I just got a IPhone 6 with an otter box case and need to get an adapter that will fit so I don't have to take the phone out of the case each time I plug it in the trunk. I send me an exact product make and model. I bought one like the one listed just below your response and it obviously won't reach with the otter box case attached.

Won't fit

I bought this adapter and it won't connect to my phone with the otter box case still on the phone. Hoping that there is another option as I don't want to take the phone out of the case each time I plug it in the trunk.

Make sure you get a REAL Apple adapter plug!
Most of the after market adapters will charge only. They won't do "data" and thus won't work on the Spyder.
