• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Intuitive Tranny

I was down at the Spyder in the Hills Rally in Boerne Tx. yesterday to
get Lamonster Led headlights, a exhaust system and to see the sights
and sounds of my first rally. Met a lot of friendly people with some
very nice scoots. There was a pavilion up from the hotel where the
venders were set up with a good crowd doing business. Spyderman
Exhaust installed my new muffler and had me on my way in no time.
During this time a couple of us were chatting with a Can Am Tech about the
semi auto tranny and he made the statement that the tranny was a intuitive
learner and that if you always pulled away softly that after awhile the tranny
would start to apply less oil pressure to the clutch for a softer engagement
and that if you were more aggressive with the throttle, greater oil pressure
would be applied to the clutch. I generally would roll into the throttle gently
when pulling away and sometimes it would feel like the clutch was slipping
or the tire was spinning. I now know better!! Also Lamonster LED lights are
outstanding and the Spyderman Exhaust really does the job for me.

The Rally seemed to be well organized and from what I could tell,
the runs went off well and was enjoyed. I will be back next year.

Great info! Answers some questions I had about why mine always seamed to slip on take off. The first 5,000 miles I had mine was towing a trailer with very soft starts, so that makes since. I can't ever spin my tires on takeoff because it feels like it slips.
Is there a way to reset that and then retrain the tranny?
It will be in the shop for the compressor so is that something that could be done with the Buds system?

If it is intuitive, it will be constantly monitoring, so harder starts would eventually set up a parameter for a quicker lock-up.

Very, very cool, BTW!

Interesting....

Did not know that but did that it stores a lot of information. I recently found out I spend 35% of the time between 6 and 8,000 rpms (that may be considered speeding..:roflblack:) That may be why flashing someone elses ecm may not be the best Idea....:dontknow:
