• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey guys and gals, Just wanted to introduce our company to your forum. My name is Dimitri and I am a representative of Nelson-Rigg USA, a manufacturer for the powersports industry celebrating our 25th year in business. We specialize in soft luggage, covers and rain wear.

The main reason for registering with this site is that we receive quite a few e-mails and product registrations from Can-Am Spyder owners/lovers, many of which were referred from this forum. So thank you for your support!! If you have any questions or comments on any of our products, please feel free to ask here or via e-mail at [email protected]. Happy riding!!

:welcome:

Glad to see you over here. I am excited to see what Spyder specific products you guys come up with. Hopefully any development in that area will happen fairly quickly. ;D

For bikes and the Spyder we have saddlebags, roll bags, tail bags and tank bags (OK, nelsonriggUSA, could you folks get moving on a Spyder tank bag to match my N-R saddlebags?! ;D )

Maybe it's just because I'm tired, but I had a crazy thought:

If all those are not enough for the r e a l l y long haul, what about a trunk-mounted bag?!

Covers will be 1st on the list. The tank bags will take some R&D as the base would have to be molded to the peak on the tank area. We will keep you guys posted.

Might want to consider an adapter to fit the tank profile that the existing tank bags can sit on top of. I fashioned one from polyethelyne foam and it works... though it does look a little funky. One which matches the tank bag material and size would minimize that effect. (I have the CL-400 Mini)

Yep - you make good stuff!

As promised, we now have some Spyder specific products. Please check our website for more info.:2thumbs:
Thank you! It appears you did a nice job. Now, I have some more suggestions. I'd like to see form-fitting soft luggage inserts for the side bags of the new Spyder RT. Many touring riders use such soft saddlebag inserts, and love them. I'm sure there would be a market. Also, rain covers for both of the Spyder seats would be a blessing. The stitching on the RT seat or the accessory Comfort Seat for the RS can allow water to penetrate to the foam. An elastic edged, waterproof seat cover that you can sit on when you ride, or use when you park, would be a real boon. We use trash bags now.

Yep that would be a good thing for the seats - been the trashbag route myself! Also a cool one piece rainsuit that BREATHES that is affordable (also in WOMEN'S sizes - not this unisex crap). Maybe some waterproof breathable gloves for rain? My pistol gloves work but they get heavy - would like a nice lightweight pair.

how bout a slim low profile tank or rear rack bag? Somthing that fits like it was meant to be there. I would like a small thin bag instead of the huge mountain bags. Somthing that would hold a map, pack of cigs and a wallet and thats it:D.

:agree: I just want something to put my wallet, a map, and/or my sunglasses in so I can get to them on the side of the road without having to shut the bike off to open the trunk, but isn't quite so ?"obvious"? as anything I've seen from BRP. Can't think of the word I want. Like you said, fits like it was meant to be there.

luggage

luggage for RS models with the backrest. Big and secure, that's what I need. I'm sure there are others. I always have a passenger. Thank you
