• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

INTERESTING.....

Also running in another current thread.

I have been a beta tester since day one. First 08 sold in AK, early SE5 (2009), Premier 2010 RTS, and early 2014 1330. So far, no major problems with any. That now includes 130,000 plus miles over all my rides.

They ain't perfect, but so far, mine have not been bad either.

#10 < Any vet knows what it means

Two lost riding seasons including no fewer than three planned long distance trips. Here we are five(5) full months into 2017 and the Spyder has been in the shop(in the shop) half that time. This Friday will make its most recent stay a full four weeks.

I know, I know. You are reading this, and just have to say how perfect yours is, or has been. I'm happy for you! Honest I am.

For me. My Spyder has been the worst - by 1000% - experience in ownership of anything motorized I've ever encountered.

Thanks BRP

You are #10.

Darn, Jerbear, you do have perseverance! I'd have traded that in a long time ago, I've only put 4000 miles on mine and it's been in the shop twice, but one of those was definitely MY Fault. I'd have damaged ANY bike doing a 70 to 0 stop in that distance.... But after the fix, no problemo, Counting my blessings as one of the lucky ones. Thanks for the perspective.

Lots of questions. You're a lot more patient/calm than I'd be. Seems like the 2017s have more issues that the 14-16s.
Lemon Law where you live????
Has your shop contacted BRP for a case #???
Have you contacted BRP Cares????
I know that BRP is focusing all its efforts on the Homecoming 10. Hope BRP Cares is seeing this.

Sorry, don't know what a #10 is. I am guessing this is directed at me. I have been a supporter or both you and your problems. I will continue to remain so. I am lucky to be able to provide a bit of balance to what is posted. Most of the time we only hear the downside.

I am NOT a rah rah BRP person, just another customer, and have also mentioned things when they are not right. When I mentioned that I thought there was a problem with the heat on the 2013's I was almost run off the site by some really good people. What can I say? :dontknow::dontknow:

:D I'm not ashamed to admit it:

Kool-Aid.jpg

Even with the trouble that I had with my 2010: these bikes STILL make me feel 30 years younger, when I fire them up! :2thumbs:

Whose the best Spyder Dealer in or close to Texas

I''m thinking hard about the F3 T. Been to a couple of local shops within ten miles of home. I'm not worried about buying the bike from any authorized dealer. I'm more concerned with who has the most knowledgeable service techs and the best reputation with the Spyder community. I'm gonna take the three day rider course the first of July (17). May wait and see what 2018 model has to offer. I liked the RT but hated the foot/leg position.

Not the case. At all

In 'No Way' directed at you. Never crossed my mind. I am sorry you took it that way. As far as support and understanding. You, are one in less than a handful here that has never shown signs of caving to BRP's shade throwers. For that you have my respect. We've both witnessed some awfully well liked folks run off this site. I say well liked, because they were, until they had problems and voiced their discontent.

Thanks for clearing the air. We're good.

Has your shop contacted BRP for a case #??? Yes and at more than one level.

Have you contacted BRP Cares???? Yes, and their response is posted here - SL - somewhere. Laughable if you have first hand knowledge of the facts.

I know that BRP is focusing all its efforts on the Homecoming 10. Hope BRP Cares is seeing this. If they haven't seen this, I know for a fact they have read my posts pertaining to the most current issue.

Found it...just for you.

Hi Jerry,

My name is xxxxxx(withheld because it doesn't matter), I am a consumer experience coordinator here in the BRPcare team. I am really sorry to read about your ongoing concerns regarding your Spyder.

After having a close look at your records, my best recommendation is that you make an appointment with your service dealer and ask them to contact a BRP product specialist once your unit is in the dealership.

Thanks for writing to BRPcare and have an excellent day!

When I received this response, my Spyder had been at the dealers for three full weeks, and had a case number(and the tech was in contact with BRP's Tech support folks). Yet, as stated by the sender. She took a close look at my records?

From that, you can reach your own conclusions.

Thanks for your interest.

Jer

:doorag:

Nothing I post about the problems I've had with this Spyder is unverifiable. I have documentation up the kazoo.

I said it before and I'll say it again.

If I experience more then a few problems with my F3s I'll sell it for what I can get and RUN back to Honda.
I thought it was funny Honda is listed at near PERFECTION. I have owned many Honda bikes and NEVER had one back for repair.
So far my Spyder is running fine but should she fart.........

:D It sounds as if you've already got the door open, and your left foot is out on the running board... :banghead:

My left foot is ALWAYS ready to correct issues. This is not the last bike I will ever own.

Can-Am should be working hard to produce a reliable machine, if not who is the fool, the person who sells the machine or the person that buys something knowingly unreliable?

Why would I spend another $30,000 if I got screwed by the same company before?

again.....if I experience more then a few problems........

Thanks for the heads up

The 2018 ful line-up will be announced about the third week of September...
How can you wait that long? :D

Well, now I know when the 18's will be announced. I have a 2015 Harley Ultra Ltd. I want to keep it and buy the Spyder but a higher authority (wife of 35 1/2 yrs) says I can't keep both. I'm hoping to win the lottery.
