• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Interesting trailer

I was doing some more research on the Internet for trailers and came across a neat trailer.
It's a Towmaster T-5DT with the 12 foot long bed. I requested a quote from H&E Equipment Services to see what one may cost? :yikes: They have locations across the country.
This trailer has a tilt bed so no ramps are needed. It looks to have a low profile too.

Looks like overkill for a spyder trailer. 5000# capacity plus not much protection on front or sides. I'd be interested in seeing the price. :yikes:

I have a custom built trailer from Quality Built Trailers. By custom, I mean minor size alterations plus wheel chocks for the front wheels and tie down points. It looks like the double motorcycle trailer in the included link. This guy will built you what ever you want.

Now you're talking. I did a little post about modifying my 5x10 last night, but I'm not convinced that's the way to go. If I may ask, who and where in Arkansas> Can I tow it home with my Spyder?
Obviously not, but that would save taking our Cherokee all the way out there.
Thanks in advance for the info.

CAVMAN,
Did you attend our meeting at Freedon's last Sat? "Our", being the almost started GA Spyder Riders.

Did you buy that trailer locally? I have to look it up.

Let me know if you want to do some riding. I'm up in Waleska. Always looking for folks to ride some. We're maybe going to try to get a few folks for Sunday. Interested?

Correction: Mine is 6'4 X 10'2. Spyder RT fits nicely.

Got my tilt bed from Cowtown RT fits JUST right. Had to put added small boards to help front get up and over that bed when its tilted. has rails to keep it on the bedd and losta places for tie downs, follows the truck really easy. Got mine for 950. Have about 2 ft behind RT so think the bed is 12 ft? Some day will have to messure!!

H&E Equip svcs doesn't have any in stock, new, used or for rent in Atlanta. Still never got a price. Lame.
I'll check some of the one's you listed.
TuckMiddle, yes I was at the meeting. I arrived late.

My Spyder Rt went wacky on me Friday night. Indicators said I was low on oil, limp mode, spyder icon lit up, engine light and some beeper was going nuts. I checked the oil three times and it showed full. Will check all the other fluids. I bought this 2010 a couple of week ago from RPM Cycles in NC. Had 1776 miles on it. The fun begins. ;~D

Thanks for the input!

ThreeFeet, what was the brand of trail you got from Cowtown? I was trying to look on their website.

I want to go to SpyderFest but need my truck to camp in. I don't feel confident in riding my Spyder that far anyway.
Thanks.

Check your battery terminals for cleanliness and tightness. The ones at the battery, not under the seat. Check your relays to see that they are all well seated. These are the two most common causes for cascading, multiple alarms.

hey guys check out this company

Aluma trailers in Bancroft Ia. Up here in Canada there are thousands of these trailers, all aluminum no rust and very light. They make many different models that will fit out Spyders. For someone who has had a trailer hooked to his truck most of his life these are by far one of if not the best trailer out there. I have one coming along with their little motorcycle tow behind trailer.

One of these may be the ticket. I was wondering if anyone made an aluminum trailer. There are two dealers near where I live....less than 50 miles. I can work with aluminum as I'm a FAA licensed Aircraft Mechanic. I don't do that anymore, but I got dem skills.
Thanks SpyderRock, you rock!
