• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Interesting RamMount, Fits Anything!

I have been looking for a way to mount my new Droid X on the Spyder & my truck, preferably using a Ram Mount. Looked around without much success and then took a chance on this one. Here's the results: (RamMount # ....UN4U )

Yes it looks kinda like an erector set offspring, but I believe it will fit almost anything. It came with various sizes of fingers & bolts/nuts that can adapt to a lot of different devices. At first I said there is no way this will work, but after fiddling with it some, the final result proved me wrong... Here is my new Droid X mounted and ready!

and yes, I am able to access every button and socket, except the ear-phone. Pretty good for less than $20.

:agree: I had to buy this one too because my iPhone 4 with the case was going to be too big for the Ram mount. And I was really not going to remove the cover ever time I have to place the phone on the mount...:2thumbs:

Very cool. It is upside down in your pics (and you may know that) and gives a pretty good place to sit/pickup when parked and using the phone...

This is the one I have that I don't think is made anymore. The top hook is spring loaded for easy in and out. Works great with my phone in its case.

Not really upside down... Had to use the two-finger holder on top to allow access to the power button center-top of the Droid. Also, the Ram backing plate is exactly the same top & bottom. Best price I found on these was GPScity.com.

Have the same one... I suggest you don't use the suction cup mount. Only a matter of time before it falls off the spyder.

No worries. Tamato tamoto... Even the wording and info on it is upside down in the those photos. I am saying for my use... I use it the other way with the big prongs on the bottom. This way when we are parked I have easy access to it and a place to "Sit" it but still grab it without having to release it again. :2thumbs:

I went from this one to that one you have... Love the adjust-ability of it...
