• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

interesting 7 minutes if you like trains

Thanks...

for posting, very interesting.
I wonder if it is done in the USA the same way?!
Maybe a railroad buff can answer that.

That is pretty amazing....Never knew so much when into it....Wasn't that detailed setting up my American Flyer trains and track set up:D

Thanks..!!

trains facinate me and this was fun. Sure beats the early US rail construction...

No, it's not done that way in this country. European's rely more on their rail system than we do so they are in far better shape.

I worked on a system like this over 30 years ago up in Maine.
The difference was the old rails were peered out and the new ones laid down by one work train at 4 miles an hour for Amtrak.
It is fascinating
