• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:helpsmilie:Is there a way to shutoff the Intercom on the RT-S so when I don’t have a passenger my music willstop cutting out with every little noise that I make? I have read the RT-S owner’s manual severaltimes and cannot find anything that tells me how. I have lowered the passenger volume controlsand that didn’t help. Any thoughts?:banghead:

don't you have to push the p.t.t. button in order to make the intercom work? could it be wired wrong and your mike is constantly hot? well i don't have the comms on my rts but just asking and suggesting.:dontknow:

Push to Talk is only used when you want to talk on the CB. With the intercom system you only need to talk normal into the microphone which turns down the radio if it is on and your passenger can hear you.

:agree: Adjust your VOX and you should have no more problem. Remember to kick the setting back up if you want to talk to a passenger, though.

:agree: Scotty is right. You can completely MUTE the VOX (voice activation) by pressing and holding the DOWN button once you have selected VOX setting. Also, see if your dealer can order, or print, publication P/N 487 800 456, it is the instruction sheet for the CB.

 Thanks everyone for the info. I played around with it last night and it seems to be working. Appreciate the help. :2thumbs:

If someone has those instructions that would be a nice thing to scan and post if it could be done. I am sure some of the settings can be confusing for many first time and not first time owners.

Sting ... great idea! I'm going to try and attach a PDF of the last six pages (this is all my dealer gave me); looks like the first ten are the really technical stuff used for the install. Fingers crossed, I've never uploaded a PDF to a forum post.

Enjoy these instructions for your :spyder2:

Sigh :(.... PDF, even of individual pages is too large for the forum upload. Anybody that is interested, PM me with your e-mail and I'll send a copy. Might take me a day or so as I'm not on the forums every day ... but I WILL get to you, eventually.
