• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

INTERACTIONS AND REACTIONS

Thank you SL members. About 6 months ago I decided to do a study called:

INTERACTIONS AND REACTIONS COMPARISON
BETWEEN MULTIPLE COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORMS

Yesterday's thread entitled 'Judith Durham' is the last thread I am using as data for my study.

I used e-mail, phone, and face to face along with internet to do this.

I was looking for the responses to threads for;

Political
Mechanical
Gun related threads
Social
Musical

What I am comparing is;
# of responses
Reaction of responders
Level of tolerance of responders
Level of tolerance of individual topic
Speed of adverse reactions
Level of adverse reactions
# of adverse reactions per individual thread
# of adverse reactions per topic
# of positive reactions per individual thread
# of positive reactions per topic

Thread meaning emails, phone conversations, face to face and of course actual threads.

This turned out to be more difficult than I expected as I have somewhere over 500 pieces of paper/ notepad entries to now look at.

I may never get it done because the hard part is still ahead of me. It has been interesting collecting the data.

I wonder what differences there would be if it was known I was doing this before I started?

No there is no money involved in it for me.

No ones name is used in this now or ever.

:lecturef_smilie: Now wait just a dang minute here! :lecturef_smilie:
