• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Integrated GPS

2Gunns

RT-S PE#0032
OK...maybe a stupid question, but what exactly does this mean "Integrated GPS". And could any Garmin be integrated for the RT?

Integrated means it is connected to the Audio system via the 3.5 mm plug harness you have to get from BRP to plug in to the connection behind the saddle bag. That plug takes priority over anything else, so when the GPS speaks, it mutes the Audio on the spyder. Everything else is done on the GPS system...

I was going to make my own cable, but can not find the pins that fit in to the connector....

Could any GPS be used? ... Yes, but your dealer will only install the one for the Spyder...at least that is what my dealer said...

Can you mute the voice on the Garmin 660? I getting a RT-S with dealer installed 660 and don't want voice on very often.

so If the dealer would install the harness, the plug at the GPS unit is the same on any Garmin? I have a Nuvi 1390T

Mine only talks when I set a route and hit Go...or when it looses connection to the satellites...but I think you can mute it if you wanted to.

Not sure if they will just install the plug because it also have the hot wire and ground wire that supply power to the GPS. The cable is $64 and the part number is 710002182.

The GPS would need to have a line out (I have a nuvi 760 that has it, but I am not sure about the 1390T), where you can plug an extension cable in to it and the other end into the GPS harness. If you have the 3.5m adapter for the tunk, you could use the Aux in the Radio, listen to the music on the GPS and hear directions...

ive got two gps,and you cam mute any one ive seen.i like to hear each turn, but its your way or what you want,.:D

Yes, you simply turn the volume all the way down, and it will no longer override the music or whatever else you're listening to.

Yes you can mute the Zumo 660. When the unit is "On" simply push the power button quickly to bring up the "Brightness & Volume" screen. Check the "Mute" box and thats it! Simply uncheck the box to turn the volume back on.

If I use the BRP Zumo 660 GPS bluetooth phone connection to a bluetooth compatible phone, will the phone call then connect to my ST-1 wired headset?

I'm using a Garmin 550 that was on my Royal Star Venture which was totaled b4 I bought my RT. My dealer wired the mount to the fusebox during the DPS fix at no charge.

Volume/Mute function

On my Zumo 660 RT -S Intergrated Garmin Unit

After loading Maps - I Get the following on screen icons

Phone(if connected by bluetooth) Volume and Tools

Just select Volume and you get % Audio level and a check box marked
Mute - Just touch the screen at the mute box a Tick will appear and the
unit is muted including MP3

Once you uncheck the Mute box you will need to adjust the % Volume
as it default to 0% - Just touch the Speaker and adjust it up

my 1390T does have the aux. plug and is bluetooth..... I have been using it already, but not integrated, so it's hard to hear (with volumn @ 100%)I'm thinking I just need the harness installed. Have to check with my dealer to see what they will do.
