There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I've had the same agent for 20 years now. He usually gives me reasonable premiums, I've got a pick-up, two old Broncos, an Expidition and a new Hyundai with him. I call about my 2010 RS and he gives me a $708 per year price. Went back to see if it was the best he could do and he got it down to $668/year. That's for full coverage ($10,000 value theft) and $500 deductible on the collision and uninsured motorist. Does that sound expensive.

Insurance rates will be all over the board because of the variables involved.

I have State Farm, both my :ani29::spyder2: are bundled with my car and home. I pay a little over $400 for yearly (full coverage) on my oldest :ani29:. A 2011 RT.

There's no way for us to answer that question for you... :dontknow:
Some of the factors that affect insurance costs:
Your location
Marital Status
Age
Driving record
Number of years of motorcycling experience
Your credit report
Other policies with the same company
Credits for safety courses
Credits for Home ownership

If that's what he can do for you; is it worth going elsewhere for a better price?

You should always shop for rates every 2 to 3 years on home and vehicle insurance. Many make the mistake of sticking with the same agent year after year when they can do much better elsewhere. That's what they count on that you wont shop around. Many old timers will say "you get what you pay for" and "they always did me right when I needed them". And they should cus they been putting it to you for years (and ya didn't even get a dinner with that).

I pay about 240.00 a year, full coverage, 500.00 deductible. Its bundled with everything else.

I pay $489.00 with Geico, full coverage, and been with them for 5 years. ( I get a kick back form them for winter storage).

I have a 2014RTS-SE6.

Check around.

Hi Habib,

Re: down to $668/year

I am with USAA for my cars & homeowners. They sub me out to Progressive. I pay right around $300 year for what you are writing about.

I'd shop around. I was with State Farm for 39 yrs; once I turned 70 they raised my rates out of sight; IMO they simply no longer wanted to insure an old guy.

PS) There was a lot of 'talk' on here about 3 months ago on insurance pricing. Lots of folks talking about the great deal they were getting. I did some checking with a number of the companies mentioned; and stayed with Progressive. One company would not even give me the pricing until I actually insured with them. Hey, what would be wrong with that?

Just paid $443 for a year for the next to highest coverage with Country Companies. Bundled with vehicles and home, with excellent credit (can be a big factor in determining rates) and an excellent driving record. 61 years old and this is my first motorcycle.

We've been with CC for almost 27 years. Did try to price another company but they wouldn't insure us because we had made two claims in the last five years with CC................both for towing our car when we had fuel pump problems.

You forgot FICO score

Progressive did not play nice with us so we shopped around. Bundled three motorcycles, one of which is the Spyder RT 2014, and got much better rates. We went with American Modern Select Insurance Company. The Spyder portion of the bundle was $246

I have been with Nationwide for 4 years and paying around $360 per year this year they went up to $ 442 so I called them and got them to come back to the $ 360 as I had just taken an Defensive driving course. I then looked around and Foremost quoted me $ 236 FOR THE YEAR WITH A $ 500 deductible and $ 275 with a $ 100 deductible so we all know who I will be moving to. This is for motorbike insurance on its own not bundled I do have a good credit score and no claims.
OH by the way do yourselves a favor and do the online defensive driving course costs around $ 39 but I have saved far more than that on both my cars and now my bike insurance Look up " Just driving" and follow the link to the defensive drivers course it is easy to do and it will take about 6 hours to do ...that sounds long but it is a timed system so you can do a lot quicker but you have to do 6 hours so I just left it run to gain time and then would come back and do some more and so on, you can also put it on pause and come back at any time to complete so the 6 hours does not have to be completed in one sitting.

Great tip, thanks for it!

My bike is about $440 every 6 months. My limits are pretty high. I am reshopping all my coverage right now. State Farm keeps jumping all my rates every 6 months.
