• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Insurance

I hunted for insurance in new jersey. I found the big companies to be overpriced. I Know it varies from person to person but I found it for $479 for the year and I am very pleased. Pm me if you need the company name. I'm not sure if I could post it. Not trying to advertise for them just share info.

Good buy, awesome deal

You have done very well. I payed $476 plus another $50 for a Depreciation Waver. It seemed like an excellent add on, considering what a new Spyder will cost, should I ever need to replace my
Gorgeous Green Lady...

You should feel happy, just think of the aftermarket parts you can now afford? ;-)

I am

Yes I was getting quotes north of $900 so when I found this price for the same coverage I was thrilled.. My bike comes in a few hours so accessory time :yikes::yikes::yikes:

Mistake, bug still

Oh, sorry I made an error in my quote. Actually I payed $551. $501 + $50.
Really, it is disappointing how much, most of these companies charge us.
So when ever I hear about someone getting a great deal, I smile.

It's simply how insurance works: Everybody pays a relatively small amount so as to protect Society as a whole...
And "Noo Joisee" is not exactly a hotbed of great driving...
Plus; Your Age, location, driving experience, marital status, claims records, credit report, and a host of other factors will be used to determine what the premiums are.
I'm glad that you found a decent price!
(I'm paying $705 per year; but with a chargeable accident...:opps: )

Please remember that premium alone is not the best way to purchase insurance. Kind of like buying Spyders; service during and after a claim will make or break the experience.

:agree:
All of these factor into your premium. But the "Service after the Sale", so to speak, is the truth in the logic. I have been very fortunate enough to have had the same company/insurer for quite some time. When it came to needing them to step up to the plate, there was no hesitation. If you do your homework, you will not be sorry for the eventual choice of insurer.

Here in Cantonment I pay $534 for full coverage and it includes the new motorcycle expanded protection endorsement (first 3 yrs it gets replaced) this cost covers both my 2014 Spyder and me 2014 Indian Chieftain. So, I am a happy camper

:agree: x 2. Service after the sale is what counts for me. Have had the same insurance company since 1965 for everything. They have always come through when it was claim time.

:agree: with what Bob D. said . . . I could get mine ($387 a year) a little (not much) cheaper, but I've had experience with GEICO over the years that has made me "brand loyal" . . . when I hit a deer, when I was rear-ended by a guy texting, and when my daughter had a deer run into the side of her car, the response from GEICO was as though they were filming a commercial for "how to do it right!":firstplace:

All valid points

Very good points were made but if you are a newbie like me and your long time carrier doesn't cover motorcycles(NJM doesn't cover motorcycles) you have to search. I did do extensive research and it is Rider insurance they have a good reputation. Thank for offering another point of view. All this info will help newbies like myself.
