• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

insurance rates

I think that maybe we're all just a bit gun-shy about what we see when the envelope for our insurance shows up... There's no doubt that our Spyders are too new for the companies to have sorted out what the loss frequency and severity rates will be...
When Brutus posted that his rate was cut in half, we probably all thought, "Why the heck can't MY company do that??"
Maybe someday they will...:2thumbs:

What you pay for insurance is based on a lot of factors, location, driving record, credit record, whether you bundel them or not with other policies, etc. One cannot base what they pay with someone else.

Very true, but if one owner posts that certain company is lowering their rates on his Spyder, then others of us who are with that same company can surely hope the same thing happens to us.

Usually when a insurance co.lowers a rate its location specific such as a particular state, I know because it just happen to me but in reverse.

I also have Progressive and it was greatly reduced this month. Same exact policy I've had for the last two years, but about half the price.

we pay $280 a year through Foremost which was thru AARP if you are 50+
$250 deductible and towing and road service included

You dont want to know that rates we get in Massachusetts.
Best rate I could get back in 2008 for the RS was 1150/yr.

Even more now that I have the 2010 RTS.
