There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Insurance Question......

I just got my Spyder less than 3 weeks ago, and signed up for insurance coverage with a different company than my auto insurance carrier (because they don't cover "motorcycles"). Today, I got my renewal bill for the auto insurance and umbrella coverage that I have, and it got me to thinking (which usually gets me in trouble). - I never gave any thought to matching the coverages and/or deductibles between the auto and motorcycle coverages.

Is that something that I should have done? Do you guys do that?

Thanks!

Deductibles should be determined according to how much risk you can assume yourself and a higher deductible can lower your premiums significantly. However, I would definitely recommend keeping the same liability limits you have on your car. If you cause an accident and hurt someone or damage someones property you want to be protected as much as possible from a lawsuit, same as if you caused an accident in your car.

Liability should be matched to your assets because that is what you are protecting in the event of an accident.

Obviously, you can do more damage with a car/truck than with a Spyder but it is still possible to do considerable damage with a Spyder should you, for instance, run over a pedestrian.

and that's what raised the question in my mind.

Make sure that the liability coverage on your bike policy meets the requirements of your Umbrella.
As far as deductibles: that's your call! :2thumbs:

Bob,

Just checked, and they don't match (not even close). Will have to speak with my MC agent on Monday about it.

Thanks for the succinct, bottom-line advice!
