• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Insurance on 2014

Just wondering if anyone has looked into the difference in insurance for the 2104 since the new engine is over 1000 cc. My understanding was that 1000 cc was the breaking point for big difference in pricing as told to me by my agent when I first insured my 2011.

Hang in there..!!

Bob show be around and will help out with this one..All I know is it is a factor...

Touring bikes are usually treated a bit differently...
GoldWings generally have had the biggest lump of engine out there; yet insuring them has always been more than reasonable.
Once I get some numbers for my bike; I'll let you all know what happens to the premiums.
I personally think that the increased value of the bikes will have much more to do with driving up the premiums...
30K for the Limited is definitely a tipping point!

Just did a quote on my GEICO policy - my 2012 RT is $379/year, replacing it with a 2014 would increase the Spyder's piece of the insurance to $490, for a $111 annual increase.

In Ohio touring bikes are based on total dollars not engine size. My 13 RT/S is about the same to insure as my 1800cc Goldwing.
