• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Instrument Cluster swap to color LCD??

I’m looking at rebuilding a wrecked 2011 RSS and was wondering if it is possible to swap in a color instrument cluster from a higher spec’d model or a newer model Spyder RT. Has anyone done this or looked at it before? Physically they look similar and it appears to have the same electrical connector on the rear. With the Can-Am Spyders using a sort of CAN BUS communication system it makes sense that it might work but maybe would need a re-coding (BUDs?).

I’d also like to know if the Spyder will run without the instrument cluster? Long story, but a valid question.

I’m new to the forum and Spyders and have looked through the site using search without luck.

Thanks!

I tried to install the cluster of an RT from 2010 on my ST from 2013 and it works fine..
Only the background color was different - the older one ist blue, the newer is yellow..
