• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Instrument Cluster Screen Protector - Does one exist?

Does anyone have a screen protector for their Spyder LCD display?

I'm late in asking this as I had the cluster out of my F3-S a week ago when sitting it on a table and getting a nice clean protector straight on install would have been possible. :(

I know it's not a touch screen but a nice protector to keep dust and small debris from scratching what I am assuming is a relatively delicate surface on the display.

Good with an exacto knife? Should be able to cut to fit a laptop screen protector. Not familiar if bezel will remove & maybe clamp down protection after. Just some protection anyway:popcorn::dontknow:

The bezel does come off (4 screws). I had the whole thing (housing, bezel and cluster) out a short time ago - when installing a protector would have been easy-peezy. Getting it to all fit back the way it came out was a PIA, not sure I'm up for that again real soon. lol

Make a template with rice paper or similar material, trace with mechanical pencil, transfer on to a screen protector, and cut to fit.

LOL, it took me an hour to get it to fit properly. The main harness has a large ferrite or something that if it doesn't get lined up makes snapping the display assembly into the housing a no-go scenario. But yeah, I may do it in the near future.
