Installing new adjustable Fox shocks how should I adjust them?

Hi Gang, I am having nex Fox shocks (supplied from BRP dealer - OEM, wanted to get better ones BUT migh have issues with warranty since are not supplied by BRP - I am in Mexico) installed on my RT 2014 Ltd and I have a couple of questions. BTW I have the BajaRon anti sway bar and like to ride on twisties on Mexican 2 way back roads (hills and mountains) SO how does the adjustment works? I guess the shock adjustment on my RT Ltd now is is for the rear only so what should I do for the front?, how to adjust it for twisties and having the least swaying. Also, I have installed the BumpSkid plate so I have less clearance and believe me some back roads in México kills you with the bumps and stop bumps.

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

if they came from brp specifically for the RT they should be set at mid range. The more you tighten down the stiffer/harder the will become so less dipping in the corners. Measure them center hole to center hole to make sure they are set alike. Install them and ryde. After testing them adjust them as you see fit. I added the shock relocators from pitbull and raised the front end those shocks may give you a bit more clearance. If your back roads are like those in Peru you need more clearance...:roflblack:

I installed a set of the fox shocks on my RT thinking that they would be set correctly simply since they from BRP . Wrong ! Suddenly I was hitting speed bumps that I had never scrubbed before. I took the shocks back off and adjusted the shocks to the max setting and put them back on. The rest is history. Been there. Done that.

The shocks on the '14's are an improved shock from previous years. It is a "Sachs" shock with a larger diameter piston body. To me the biggest thing is that is has no pre-load adjustment. ( I am presently testing, for BAJARON, after market pre load adjusters he is designing for the stock '14 shocks). Is it the best shock, no, but it is an improvement. I have had the adjustable Fox shocks on a previous Spyder along with Ron's sway bar. A very good set up at reasonable cost. I had the pre load adjusted almost to the max (tension on the springs) and liked it there. You will get a little more ground clearance that way as well as a firmer ride.
