There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Installing a Show Chrome wiring harness in my 2014 RTL... need some help.

I'm about to install a Show Chrome wiring harness on my 2014 RTL for a trailer. After viewing installation videos and reading instructions, etc I can see clearly how to install everything in the back of the bike... including all the things that have to be removed and put back. But what I cannot find is a video or instruction sheet that shows "where" (route) to run the red and green wires to the battery. I know these two wires have to get to the battery (in the front of the bike), but no one shows that part of the installation or talks about it that I've been able to find. I know those wires have to get to the battery... but what has to be removed (panels, etc) in order to get there from the back of the bike? Go down the right hand side or the left? Any helpful advice or instructions (or videos) would be greatly appreciated.

On my 2015 RT I removed all the plastic panels on the left side of the machine and ran the battery wires along the left side with other harnesses that are on the bike. Just route the wires with the stock harnesses and I used small wire ties to attach the wires to the harnesses. Once you get the panels off you will see plenty of places that you can run the wires. Just steer clear of moving parts or parts that get hot. One thing I did do that I think should be a requirement is to add an accessory fuse block and use that to power my trailer harness as well as the power for our heated gear. I didn't want a bunch of wires coming off the battery plus the accessory block adds a fuse into the circuit in case there is an issue. I have never used the trailer harness because I don't pull a trailer, but it's installed for the next guy if I ever sell the bike. I also have a hitch in the garage that won't be used. The thought at one time was to get a camper for the Spyder, but that idea has since passed.

Show Chrome makes a fuse and relay block and they have a trailer wire isolator. Which do you have? A link to it would be best.

I got it done. It took all day but I am slow and meticulous. Thanks for sharing your experience. I ran the batt wires in flex tubing down the left side after removing all pannels on that side.
