• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installed the Yoshimura R-77 and it is......

I spent weeks researching slip on exhausts for the :spyder2: and I ended up going with the Yoshimura R-77. The main reason I chose the Yoshi was the price point, carbon fiber look, and the reviews on this site.
I received the exhaust in the mail yesterday and installed it last night. When I started the :spyder2:, the sound was amazing. Not super loud but way better than the stock in my opinion. It definitely gave my RSS some growl.
I live in the Hampton Roads area so coming in to work today I went through the tunnel and it was amazing :yikes:. Definitely happy with the purchase.

And thanks to Spyder Lovers for helping me make my decision. I love this site/forum!!

Great..!!

Yoshi has always made a great exhaust. Hate to think how many I have installed over the years working at shops and for friends. Good choice...:2thumbs:

No problem with the radio with the Yosh. That was one of the major selling points for me. Deleting the CAT & adding the Yosh was a big improvement in milage and seat of the pants performance. I'd buy one for my 2014 in a heartbeat, if it were available.

Love my Yoshi too , I have one on my 2010 RSS , mine came with the baffle separately packaged .
I ran without it for a bit but on one short trip without helmet or ear plugs I realised that it was actually quite loud so I installed it .
Still sounds waaaaaay better than stock and soooooooooo much lighter , looks better too , in my opinion of course .

:agree:, Music sounds better than mufflers

The Yoshi's one of the more "civilized" pipes available for the Spyder, which is why I chose it. With the baffle in, my Yoshi isn't any noticeably louder than my stock exhaust was, just a far more pleasing note. (Couldn't stand it with the baffle out-- I'm most definitely NOT a loud pipes guy, I love and respect my neighbors too much :joke:).

If anything, since removing the airbox and going with a Kewlmetal filter, I hear my *engine* far more than I hear the exhaust.
