• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This pipe sounds great and imo does not look bad in chrome adds a bit of flare to it.

They sound good, don't they?!

Took an F3 fitted with the Straight Shot for a test ride this past Wednesday, & was trying to find the right words to describe the sound.... best I could come up with for something that conveys the 'right' noise was 'Ripsaw Roar' - anyone got a more descriptive alternative? :opps:

To me, in fourth gear winding out from 3K to 8K, it sounds like a howl. Not as high-pitched as an inline-four, but very similar.

While the quality is top-shelf, and it looks very cool, it is hard to justify (IMO) that much $ for any muffler. I paid $930 plus tax.

I had an Akrapovič pipe on my VFR1200 and it cost roughly the same even though it was more "complicated". (Exhaust flappy valve, more piping and a carbon fiber tip.) That particular pipe sounded great (at idle and low speeds) with the "decibel killer" insert pulled out but it didn't change the sound much on the top end. The Akrapovič pipe for the F3 doesn't have a removable insert but if you look in the end of the pipe there isn't much there. The VFR pipe only had a sticker whereas the F3 pipe has a nice riveted medallion.

Awesome..!!

Is there much weight difference cause it looks to be the same size..?? :joke: enjoy it will search youtube for some sound clips...:2thumbs:

I know someone that added this pipe to a demo f3 but told me they took it off cause it didn't sound any different than the stock pipe and for the 1300$ cost it wasn't worth the money.

I was hoping the muffler would get louder and have better tone as it "broke in" but it still sounds like it did when new.

However, it sounds very very nice inside a tunnel. Too bad the only tunnels where I live are underpasses and are very short.

I don't think I'd buy it knowing what I know now, but at least it looks nice.

Did the cat delete pipe on mine and it sounds great. Kind of wish the pipe was a bit longer to move the sound a bit further back but overall very nice.
