• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installed SCALA Q2 headset and they work great!

A great big windshield (preferably toenail shaped) will help. :D

.
It wasn't me this time.......but it would have if I had been quicker. Good shot ataDude! Sorry Tatt2r, you just make this stuff so easy. :joke:

My better half (fish65) and I also have the Q2. We don't leave home without them:2thumbs:. We have HJC FS 10 helmets (plenty of room for mics) and we use the verizon DARE for cell phone. The voice commands work ok (about the same as not using them through the Q2). I have not tried using the GPS on the DARE with the Q2. That will be an adventure for another time.

ScalaRider Q2

We have the Q2 and have a problem with the passenger headset not being as loud as driver headset, have switched helments and the passenger headsets require louder speaking to activate or to be heard clearly, works great with the bluetooth for the cell phone:chat:

I have the Q2 as well and think it works great.

I have been trying to get the iphone to work with it but not much luck. The iphone does not have voice dialing so out going calls is not functional. Incoming calls work so thats not a problem.

The real disappointment is not with Q2 but that I cant get the iphone to play music through the Q2. Anybody know how? The trick with activating voicemail while playing music does not work.

How do people listen to music through their Q2?

there is an app for voice dialing:2thumbs:

We used to use Chatterbox when I had the Harley - that was cool but no way do I wanna hook up my phone when I'm riding - I want the phone off where nobody knows where I am - only time I get a break:dontknow:

What is the difference (if there is one) between the Scala Q2 Teamset and Scala Q2 Multiset ?

Looking at the features, I don't see a big difference, but I see a big difference in price. Any reason to go with one over the other performance wise ? Amazon has the MultiSet for about $250 and the TeamSet for $150.

Will use mostly for rider to passenger communication, MP3 player and cell phone when on call

Thanks for any info.

The difference i believe is that the Teamset comes with 1 full unit (radio and all) second unit is just voice com link. The Multiset is 2 full units with the radio/pairing options.

Damn this board...Tatt2r you where the straw...I have jr comuncator and I found myself not using it as it was such a pain with all the wires..hooking up me my wife, the mp3, etc.. I was thinking about it for a while and after reading this got me thinking again...what the heck..only money:dontknow:

Q2 w/Zumo 550

We use the Q2 multiset for bike to bike and I have the Zumo 550 and cell phone paired to my headset. I was using the voice directions, but wound up turning it off as "Jill" started to get on my nerves with her constant chatter (no offense to fellow women), which was constantly interrupting my husband's and my conversations while riding. She did come in loud and clear; however, I prefer glancing at the Zumo itself as it is in a great position with the Kewlmetal bar bracket.

sorry czdaryle ......but they do work well went out yesterday again .... over 6 hour ride and worked great

okay I got these in and overall I'm happy...happy to get rid of the wires. Couple things that arent so great is that it is very tinny compared to jr unit...can't seem to get any bass...gonna try foam to put the speaker closer to my ear as the volume is kind of low too. Also can't get my ipod touch paired with this thing, but I did get it to work thru fm so thats okay.

iphone works well with scala rider 2 and zumo 550...not sure how much different the itouch is but you'd think that it would be fine if you follow the same directions...

I have the Scala Q2 and an iTouch. Are you just trying to play music from your iTouch? If not, what is it that you're trying to pair it for? Although I haven't tried it yet, if I want to play music from my iTouch I'll plug it into the jack.

The iTouch is not currently bluetooth. Supposedly some update may be coming this summer to upgrade to bluetooth.

Yea I want to listen to the music. I have a bluetooth adaptor for Ipod touch..use it with bluetooth headphones...thought I could do the same. Trying to get away from wires. I got a FM transmiter adaptor for the ipod and it works but I thought the sound would be better with bluetooth
