• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Very pleased with my new Muth LED turn signals...The installation instructions were very easy to follow! They even included a template to show where to cutout for the LED's.

This was the third time I've had the mirrors apart, so it went pretty smooth.

We'd love to see some pics of them on your bike... ;)
:congrats: on a successful installation; here's to hoping that you never have to find out how useful they might be!

What..!!

all that hard work and nothing to show for it..?? Pictures..I mean pictures..!! They speak louder than words..congrats..!! :2thumbs:

Now THAT is stylish. I found them on a their website here, but I'm confused - do they send you the whole mirror or just the parts to put onto your exsisting mirror?

The kit comes with new mirrors that fit like the originals...You will have to remove the stock mirrors, and using their supplied templates, cut a section out of the mirror backing plate and then install the Muth mirrors that have the LED's already mounted to the backside of the mirrors...

I would suggest doing a search on Youtube and watch the video(s) before you start. That way you will be more comfortable with the process...

Good luck!

You only get the glass and associated electronics. You must remove your old glass using a heat gun on the surface of the mirror to soften the adhesive on the back of the glass and then using a paint scraper; pry it away from the plastic backing. Be careful, too much heat can melt that plastic backing. You'll also find that the plastic backing will likely be warped from the combination of the heat and the prying. You may find that when ready to go back together that applying a little heat to it to soften and then bending it back flat will help the fit when you use the double sided tape to install the new glass.

Also, one other thing to keep in mind, there is a bolt and spring underneath the glass that that you will remove to disassemble the mirror backing from the mirror housing, and is also adjusted to increase/decrease the effort needed to adjust the mirror. You'll want to make sure you get that right so the mirror will stay in place when you adjust it, but not be too tight to make adjusting difficult or impossible. If you don't get it right, you have to remove the glass again to access and tighten/loosen that bolt.
