There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installed the above with stock exhaust, getting some mild popping, already have the Honda exhaust gaskets. Is this the wrong filter?
thanks

By adding a freer air flow filter you leaned out the air/fuel mixture a little more than the already stock lean mixture.

That's what it's supposed to do. LOL. That mean it works! If the bike runs sloppy, that means you need to add fuel.

Right filter, wrong fuel mix. More air but not more fuel on a machine that is already on the ragged edge of LEAN means popping for sure.

As said above, the Popping means you're getting your monies worth from the filter. You'll need to add fuel with a JB or Power Commander.

Once you get it dialed in you'll get better throttle response, more HP and, believe it or not, better fuel mileage. That's because you're actually making more HP with less fuel.

Another little known advantage is a cooler running engine.

Of course if you are always whacking the throttle your fuel mileage will suffer but the smile on your face will more than make up for a few more dimes at the fuel pump.

GREEN FILTER

I added the Green Filter about 1000 miles ago to my 08 GS SM, my MPG's went up approx. 2....But I have had no issues with poor or different engine running......except for the grn filter and my "cold air intake" , I have no other engine Mods......The only difference we have is that you have an SE....I can't see that making a difference......Mike.................PS the K&N and the Green filter are not the same. You have one or the other.....But it shouldn't make a difference either way IMHO

I added a green filter to a previous RS and the only noticeable difference I had was that it made the bike louder. Possibly better mileage too. But none of the problems you are having.
