• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installation of spring tensioners (jacking up the front tires)

AH-NO-1

To install the spring tensioners you need to lift the front tires off the floor, so that the weight is off of the springs. What is the proper way jack up the front to do this, so that you do not damage anything. :spyder:
Any information on this will be greatly appreciated, Thanks Dave

JACKING

You place the jack ( auto type ) as far forward as the metal frame allows then slowly raise it until the tire/s barely touch the ground ....this will be full extension of the shock.......If you raise it further the Spyder becomes tippy and achieves nothing .....when the shocks are at full extension they won't go any more ................If you are using an ATV type jack it doesn't really matter as long as under the frame and not under any part of the exhaust....Mike

Depends..!

on what you have to work with. The best is an ATV/motorcycle lift and raise the whole roadster. You can also lift with a rolling jack from the frame just behind the swaybar (facing the front) this is with the atv/motorcycle lift

Make sure you block the rear tire when using the rolling jack at the front...

Center Beam

There is a square center beam running front to back. If you feel with your hand under you will find it. I position my floor jack just behind where that starts in the front. That is far enough to the front to unload the springs.
