• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I want to install a 12V outlet in my Frunk. Is the job tricky? Are there installation instructions? Should I just have my dealer do it?

I think if you Google it you will find a video. For doing it. I had one installed on my 2010 RS and never used it. I won't do it again.

Not bad..!!

the wiring is already there at the fuse box. Just making the hole and hooking up. There should be videos and instructions...

BRP has a part to do this. Just kind of pain to install. I use mine to recharge phone, plug in a GPS and other thing, but be aware it is not a heavy duty outlet, fuses

I ran the SEA plug which came wit my battery tender junior , up threw the blank switch in center of counsel . It has a cig. A USB adapter that comes with it. If you have more than one USB item to run , you can use one of those dual USB plug ins in the cig. Adapter.
I run my go pro with this and charge phone or blue tooth at the same time. In winter hookup battery tender.
I was thinking of trunk also, but didn't want to keep opening frunk .

I find that the 12 volt outlet in the frunk is useless on my RT LTD when the luggage is in there. no room to plug in anything. I even removed the bracket for the Sena SM10 Dongle because it was in the way too. Better off putting it in the dashboard.

No need for a fuse box and wiring to install a 12 accessory outlet in the frunk. The fuse(s) and wiring and connectors are already installed. You just have to mount the outlet and plug it in. You can get the outlet on amazon for about $8. On my 2013 RT the hole was already in place with a factory plug in it. Just removed the plug and installed the outlet, plugged in the already existing wiring harness.

I found the wiring on the left side of the frunk. I used this source to extend to my dash, where I wanted an outlet.

NOT IN THE FRUNK ....BUT

...My new Basic 2014 RT didn't have gauges on the dash , so I added two 12 volt outlets where the gauges would have been.......I was going to use the plugs BRP had in there ,however they were too thick to mount the outlets. I made my own plug / spacers from can lids .....worked great. Now I can plug my GPS in one and have the other as a Cigarette Lighter or other purpose .........Mikeguyver
